Whilst wool in the UK is a very sustainable product from breeding sheep, caring for sheep and shearing the sheep for raw fleeces, there is a substantial amount of work which we do to make our business and our processing as green and sustainable as possible.

We buy in bulk and support as local as possible or have raw product shipped to us in as few road trips as possible if we need to buy a breed from a specific UK county.
We operate batch processing so electricity, hot water and energy is only used when we are operating and our machinery is extremely efficient
All our waste is recycled and we use as little plastic as possible. Our packaging is recycled packaging used again by us.
All our wool waste is recycled - the lanolin water from scouring grows fertiliser free grass which feeds our sheep at lambing time. The organic waste goes to a gardening business to be made into wool pellets.
Most of our operational work is done in house with a local workforce on site on the farm using one main courier
We are looking into solar panel and green burn energy options for future to power hot water and machinery!
All the products that we make are out of natural materials
Our exports are through channels with sustainability policy and our customer need our product because they can’t source what we produce in their area of the world.
Sustainability is the most important thing to our business and it is also incredibly important to our customers because it is the number one reason why they choose UK wool over synthetic. Everything we do creates biodiversity and protects air, waterways and seas as far as we possibly can.
There is more we can do! We are working on it in our future planning to operate within natural cycles rather than driving with synthetic/polluting materials.
