Medium bodied white wool
Average Fleece Weight: 1.5-2.5 KG
Average Staple length: 3-5 inches.
Micron Range: 32-33
Recommended craft areas - Wet Felting, needle felting, peg loom rug making, Welsh themed craft - pretty much everything
Unique features: Beulah wool is a true multicraft wool which can turn to any craft area and it doesn’t appear much on the breed lists so this is a really special wool directly from Wales
The Beulah has been bred for hundreds of years. They are a Welsh breed who enjoy life on the Welsh hills but do thrive on lower lands too!
These are fairly big sheep who don't have horns. They typically have a speckled face and legs with a white fleece. They have very inquisitive ears which stand very erect from their heads! They have been bred predominantly for their excellent mothering.
Beulah in our experience shares many properties of Mule. Typically they have a variety of fibres in their fleeces. The finer fibres are very much wearable and suitable for knitting and clothing! Their coarser fibres are great for hard wearing rugs and carpets. For us they are a great all round purpose breed.
