British Milksheep - RAW
As the name suggests this breed was developed to be extremely milky! The breed was developed by a man called Lawrence Alderson between 1960-1970. They have been bred over the years to be extremely prolific sheep. They are more likely to have triplets and quads than any other breed!
They have a white/ creamy fleece which covers their body only. They don't have horns but do have long ears which usually sit horizontally from their heads!
Their fleece is considered demi-lustrous and is usually quite heavy in weight. We find its best purpose is for knitting and spinning yarn. It could also be blended nicely with other wools to improve its softness.
Average Fleece Weight: 2.5-4 KG
Average Staple length: 3-6 inches.
Micron Range: 32-35
