Raw Ryeland (White or Coloured)

£15.00

This breed originated from Hereford nearly a century ago when wool was in high demand for clothing. They are compact, sturdy and adaptable to new environments. They are very woolly sheep with wool that goes down their legs and over most of their face. They typically require their face wool clipping in between full shears to help them see!

The Ryeland is a beautiful bouncy, colourful wool either in white or as a multitude of greys, browns and even a blue appearance within the fleece. This wool is amazing for colours in needle felting, peg loom rug making and spinning. The wool is soft and fluffy to touch. Very easy to work with all round!

Average Fleece Weight: 2 - 3 KG

Average Staple Length: 1 - 3 Inches

Micron Range: 30 - 32
