The highlander is a relatively new breed to hit the UK. They have been specifically breed to create an efficient feeding sheep. They are developed to produce heavy weighted lambs and can lamb outside and thrive. In theory, they are bred to be a low cost sheep and produce above average lambs. They are able to graze most types of land and require minimum input from the shepherd.
The Highlander sheep produce a medium staple, medium soft white wool that is rare to source! We are lucky to have a supplier for this wool!
