Carded - Roussin

from £8.00

The Roussin de la Hague sheep originated from France in the 18th Century. But the breeds we see today were developed further in the 1920s adding in some leicester, suffolk and southdown to help improve their overall build and conformation. The adaptations have made the sheep much easier to lamb, provided a bigger lamb at birth and are able to lamb earlier in the breeding season.

They have a dark brown/black face and legs with a white fleece all over their body. They have a medium staple fleece which covers only their body.

Average Fleece Weight: 2 - 3 KG

Average Staple Length: 2 - 4 Inches

Micron Range: 31-34
