Unique features:- A small quirky fleece with a massive natural variety. Accept it for the wonderful breed it is and put it to short stable crafts where it can add lots of character like needle felting so a little bit goes a long way. The fleece will spin and that is generally done as a display of heritage for such a primitive sheep. The most unique feature is the heritage to this breed which tells a story of the Scottish Isles.
Boreray is a medium length staple British Rarebreed fleece. White and brown colours to choose from. Boreray originates from the Scottish Isles and specifically the Isle of Boreray. The fleeces are very small and have a double layer with a very soft underlayer. Boreray is predominantly used for spinning but we also think that other crafts like needle felting which can use Boreray wool are a superb support of the breed. Boreray is a very unique wool.
